Well its looking like our first ever trip to the island has been a success. Oddly enough I'm finishing up this trip tik from our cabin on what will now be fifth or sixth winter visit.
Packed up we are on our return to the mainland.
Again limited snow cover will see us walk, hike on water.

Looks like we've lucked into a fairly mild day.
Das blogger
Das ice rescue pics.
Other than this guy going solo, just as we past on our way out this trip, ice fishing.
Similar to this fellow, the report from this recent trip was that they were pulling all sorts of fish out.
Predominately Pike and Perch.
Northern Pike
Thompson Marine.
Much success and a precursor to many trips ahead.
Now who's got the keys?
Editor's note: If perchance you enjoyed this story, or if you just wanted to waste some time there are collections of four other ice adventures similar to this one. A search of "Bayfield Inlet", "Ice", "Winter", ??? on this blog should result in a number of posts.
Thanks for your interest.
