PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S. JULY15, 2018. PART FIVE/FIVE. LET IT RIDE

Like so many events in my life, they may now only be dates on a calendar past, but many have forever instilled a pride, purpose and a passion to walk, better yet, ride forward with.

So for now,

The last call to order,

Here on Sunday we join for the last official ride.
I shall come to a realisation mid July next year that something is just not quite right.

Had fun over the years chasing the Belgium jerseys.
Congrats again this day with your country men wearing yellow in the TDF and being giant killers in the continuing World Cup.

Thanks to Larry my partner for the great company over the weekend.
Never cease to battle on and off the bike.

Like all the stops, they brought it all.!!

Here in just one stop I rehydrated, re-nourished and
the way I was felling, made a booking to cycle right into my retirement residence.

PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S. JULY15, 2018. PART FOUR/FIVE. A FINE SUN DAY .

Like so many events in my life, they may now only be dates on a calendar past, but many have forever instilled a pride, purpose and a passion to walk, better yet, ride forward with.

So for now,

A fine final day.

Good morning sunshine.

"I'll be back"
I mean it!

Perfectly sweetened.........

A jar each!
The SWEET just keeps coming.

One family of the family.

...without fear, doubt, discomfort, what is there for a person to overcome?

The last hoorah?
I doubt it.
I bet in some form the wheels will always be spinning.

Now shall we!

To the best seat in the house.
Mind you a little sore but still.......

PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S. JULY14, 2018. PART THREE/FIVE. SATURDAY. APRES RIDE

So for now,

Some of my favourite events have "apres" in the title.

The team willing to give up second degree burns for first class eats!!!!

Sure beats the fried dough chateau across the street.

"I'll have two of everything!!!"

I'm in on Larry's ride recovery program.
Lay on the meat.

Thank you.
Promise to be here tomorrow!

I'll make a reservation and ride safe.
Very safe.

PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S. JULY14, 2018. PART TWO/FIVE. SATURDAY. LET 'EM RIDE.

Like so many events in my life, they may now only be dates on a past calendar, but many have forever instilled a pride, purpose and a passion to walk, better yet, ride forward with.

So for now,

Day two roll out.
let em ride.

I like this.
Larry is looking like business again.
After pulling me thru 95k's yesterday,
(I try to make a little confessional everyday. Part of it is to exercise my demons. After yesterday I'm pretty sure that don't want to have any part of me)
the business of whats another 85k's today!

.....what the"f"minus?

Coming to realise that there aren't too many images of pedaling but THANKS to an amazing group of volunteers, lots of all sorts of nourishing.
The donning of spandex to cycle this event is only the second reason why I wear it.

Sharing is caring.

I pace my self at these wonderful rest stops so as leave enough room for the big one.

Won't you join me?

PEDALING FOR PARKINSON'S. JULY14, 2018. PART ONE/FIVE. SATURDAY SIGN IN.

Like so many events in my life, they may now only be dates on a past calendar, but many have forever instilled a pride, purpose and a passion to walk, better yet, ride forward with.

So for now,

The more than O.K. corral.

So many "reporting" for duty.

With the precision(and passion) of Space X,
eight minutes and counting!!!!!!

These people tell you where to go but to all the right places.

"SPOKES" MEN
in the highest regard!

Pedaling for Parkinson's

Great to have an old acquaintance join me for the weekend.
Larry P. was not only super company but provided at times a much needed wheel to sit on!!!!

(leading up to this, living and cottage building on an island wasn't the most conducive for cycle training. Doubled my whole annual mileage in one weekend.)

This will be one family reunion that I will miss!!

Canada needs some more "Mailot Jaune"

Here I join in helping the towns of Fonthill and Fenwick welcome Steve Bauer home after an exiting 1988 Tour de France.
OK, I can already hear it,
Fenwick and then Fonthill.

as for the P4P,

Time to saddle up.
