Day two.
The geodesic styling of Domo Frances results in rather "spacious" lodging for shared accommodations. Our neighbours proved to be very amiable American fellows of our age on an annual adventure.
Adventure indeed.
Adventure indeed.
At the time of our booking, with tent camping, (your own or rent-a-tent) we were slightly scared off by the potentially distressful weather. This and for just the plain novelty (later becoming a bit of our travel motto..... adventure and challenge) of it , lead us to staying in a Refugio for five of our six nights. As a backup and for being unable to get lodging for the last night, we do have our tent with us.
Full meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner, plans are available at all the Refugios. Kate and I have preordered just dinner. Even without communal kitchens, we will find ample supply of hot water for our breakfasts. Our packs are stashed with ample provisions for lunches and snacks.
Our location is a just reminder that most meals will be simple and ample. Thus resulting in adequate.
This plate of braised beef accompanied with some fixings proved quit good.

This will be a constant for the next week. Everybody is from somewhere else with a hundred stories of their own.
Where are you from............???????........
Instant camaraderie karma.
Kozy too , with this being one siting in what is pretty much the whole dining room pictured here.

All of the Refugios offered a limited inventory of snacks and sides for purchase.
Want an expensive inexpensive bottle of wine, no problem.
VISA por favour!
No better place to read a classic:
IN PATAGONIA
than in Patagonia.
Gimme shelter!
